The Dick Batchelor Run for the Children is a 5K (3.1 mile) run/walk through downtown Orlando. The event, which takes place the weekend before Halloween, also hosts princesses, ghosts and superheroes dressed in costume for the Kids' Fun Run. Race spectators, families and friends are encouraged to relax and enjoy the festival-style atmosphere with entertainment, refreshments and activities throughout the morning.
